Hey Roxxy, I just came across this article about the lose of your cat. I also have a Himalayan named O's and he is the love of my life. He is a seal point, with that dark little face and tail walking around like he's king of the house (he is). O's only 8 years old but he still seems like a baby to me. I hope you have found a new kitten by now. There is nothing like a baby Himalayan is there, they almost look like a ewok or something from Mars, sooo cute and expressive. Good Luck and I can relate.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I lost my Himalayan, Sebastian, more than 10 years ago and I still cry when I think of him. He had to be put down for the same reason, kidney failure. It was so sad. He was the sweetest thing ever, smart too, and of course beautiful. He didn't even make it to his first birthday. Thank you for your post, I always blamed myself because I took him everywhere with me, including international travel. I always thought that had been the cause.

I recently lost my cat Sweetie Pie so I know how you are feeling. I planted a fig tree on her grave. Soon I will be able to eat figs she has blessed with her spirit.

The grief does pass and then you are left with all the wonderful memories of your beloved fur friend.

My thoughts are with you.

It's what everyone says..but I am so very sorry for your loss.

Only people who have loved a pet understand the depth of loss you must be feeling. Love for our pets is a pure kind of love, uncomplicated and without any ambivalence. They give so much more to us then we can say, asking so very little in return...

As a feline only vet tech I have learned, its going to hurt for as long as it takes, but when you are ready you can bring another fur person into your home and honor the memory of your Baby Boy by giving him or her the best life possible.

I'm sorry for your loss. I've lost three of my babies in the last three years and the grieving process can be made so much more difficult by the fact that not all people are animal people and so therefore don't understand how truly painful the loss can be. I wish you all the best in the days ahead :)
