Are You A Full Or Part Time Blogger
Do you consider yourself a full or part time blogger? I have met some really great bloggers since starting my own blog just a few months ago. It really got me wondering though, how many of you consider blogging your main job or main source of income? Do you think you spend more time blogging than you would with a regular 9-5 job? I am just trying to get a feel for where everyone is at. When I first started this blog I really had no idea what I was doing but I have learned so much already and I continue to learn more and more everyday. I guess what really surprised me the most is how friendly and helpful other bloggers really are! I really appreciate all the help I have received from othersĀ and hope that I can also be of some help to others just startingĀ out as well.
I know some of you have been doing this for many years and then there are some of us that are just finding our way in the blogging world. Do you remember what got you into blogging?! Do your friends and family really understand what you do when you tell them that you are a blogger or that you make money with your blog?
I would love to hear about everyone’s experience with blogging. What mistakes did you make in the beginning. What one thing have you learned that has made all the difference in your success? If you had one piece of advice for a new blogger, what would it be?

I have been blogging regularly for about 6 months. While I spend enough time on it to be full time, the income is very little.

I agree with Cindy. Same sort of thing – blogging regularly for about half a year, but the income is minimal. (In Feb 08, we made about $60, but we spent a lot of money on PPC advertising for an affiliate marketing campaign before, so we’re still about $200 in the hole.)
I’m always jealous when I hit the blogs that make thousands of dollars a month. One day…

I consider myself a full time blogger. I work full time from home doing paid blogging and loving it. I have been doing this for a little over a year now.
For a new blogger my main piece of advise would be to not let the “nasty” people get you down. There are too many great bloggers out there to focus on instead of the bad.

I’m definitely a part-time blogger. I would never leave my house if I was a full time blogger. I already stay at home way too much as it is. lol

I’m enjoying blogging way more than I thought I would, and spending more time on it than I anticipated. It’s just my kind of writing — not novel length, but long enough to say something meaningful or humorous. If I get a laugh or a comment from a reader I feel good all day. Hope all this keystroking pays off.

I am a part time blogger now but plans to do it full time later is my blogs are already stable.
At first, my family find it hard to understand that I spend long hours in front on my PC but not earning that much.
However, since it is really passion to share family issue related problems, they understand me now somehow.
I really love what I do not only because I am learning but also to help others how have a happy family.
I think this is my advocacy coz I believe it is the family that must be maintained before anything else.
For new blogger, just blog want you really want to blog about, and do not believe experts wannabe when they say that it is easy to make money on-line coz it is not, it is really not.
Hope that helps.
Thanks!

I can’t consider myself a full-time blogger, not even a blogger! I just started to blog back in January. I planned my blog as a way to increase traffic to my site which is still on a developing stage.
Thanks to the blog, traffic has increased but thanks to the blog also I’ve been stuck on site’s developement as social interaction demands a lot of time. I still have to learn to manage that.

Then i got married, become full time wife/mother..i started monetizing blog.
if you really want to earn in this blgging business, you need to treat it seriously as a work..not just hobby..

I myself am sort of a part time blogger. I work 5 days a week and can only update my blog at night and also on weekends.
Usually I don’t get to post until later at night because of all my darn fitness routines I gotta do!
But I DO love to blog and interact with the community.

I have been blogging for about a year now, my circumstances have changed a great deal since then, and I am now to the point that what I can earn through blogging is extra money for me, and not needed to survive.
So I would say I am a part time blogger.

Definitely part time. I have a full time hypnosis practice. I just love sharing the good news about hypnosis and hopefully educate the public about how they can make life changes. I have enjoyed having more readership since joining ecards, I must admit!

At the moment i am a part time blogger but will be going full time within the next couple of months.

its a part time thing for me. I dont have the time or energy to do it full time and my true passion lies elsewhere.

I’m just a part timer. It is not necessary to blog everyday. Piece of advice is, post something that u feel really satisfied about it. Not too wordy, otherwise it will be really tiring to read.
A very good post can last for days.

I would consider myself an aspiring full time blogger. People that say you don’t have to blog regularly are crazy. I would say every day or two you should have new material on your site so I am trying to post every day right now.

I try to blog regularly.. however.. my income does not rely on blogging but in designing.. which category do you think i belong?

I’m a part timer of 6 months so I’m now starting to get the hang of it a little. A couple of my friends can make $200 a month and I can’t wait till I can make even 1/2 that! Of course they have been at it a lot longer than I have.

Hmmn..part time..I started blogging only few months ago. I just wanted to experience the life of a blogger. Now, I’m lovin’ it! I’m thinking of giving up my current job and be a full time blogger… ^_^

yeah I’m a university student so no option to be a full time blogger .
I enjoy my blogging as a part time blogger .

I started blogging recently and consider myself a part-timer, but I spend at least 3 hours a day blogging. You are right about good people though. I have found that the vast majority of folks out here are helpful and kind.
The one thing I might add and you might have seen it already is the idea of the 30 day challenge. Blogging every day for 30 days; both on your own blog and commenting on other people’s blogs.
People are saying good things about their results.

I agree with Patrick’s comment on taking the 30-day challenge. I am attempting that now and hope to see an increase in traffic over the next few weeks. Even posting everyday, I still consider myself a part-time blogger.

I am a part time blogger and not yet a big time blogger. What I mean? There are many part time blogger who are making good income blogging. There are ways I know how they achieve this and I want to digg this one day. I am slowly learning about it because I do bot focus how it is going to be. Well, as long as I enjoy blogging, it’s fine if no big income come my way.

Just started blogging almost two months ago. I don’t even want to call myself a part-time blogger. I’m still trying to cover my hosting, lol. A few of my friends know I blog, they are supportive and leave me comments from time to time. They are pretty cool!
