Obama Live Campaign Coverage

Posted by User Imageroxxymetal - September 12th, 2008

I know there are probably alot of people that are undecided at this point. The trouble with the news media is they only show you a very tiny portion of a speech and you never get to really hear the issues. Well, don’t just rely on what you see on the news…do your own research and find out the true facts. We have to be sure and make the right choice this time because our future and the future of our children depend on it. I don’t think our country can survive another 4 years of the same. The last 8 years have been really rough for alot of the American people so we have to get it right this time!!!

I am not one to push my opinion on others and I don’t want to turn this into some political debate but I feel I must state my opinion. You can agree or disagree with me…I welcome all opinions. I told myself that I wasn’t going to put anything political on my site but I feel this is too important.

For those of you that know me or those who follow me on twitter know that I am a huge supporter of Obama. I think he is a brilliant man and he has new and fresh ideas that our country needs. He has the vision that can help turn this country around!! He stands for real change!

From Ustream you can watch Live Campaign Coverage. You can watch all the discussions by going to http://www.ustream.tv/channel/live-campaign-coverage. There you will see real people like you and me asking Obama the questions that are important to them. If you would like to follow Barack Obama on twitter, just add him and you will start receiving updates on all of his appearances and you can even watch live. I think this is a very cool idea! So here is Obama’s twitter http://twitter.com/BarackObama. And here is my twitter http://twitter.com/roxxymetal in case you happen to want to follow me too.

Shareasale.com closes for 9/11

Posted by User Imageroxxymetal - September 11th, 2008

Shareasale has announced on their website that they are closed today, September 11, 2008. I think that is very thoughtful and a great way of showing their respect. I have included the message from their site below.

“ShareASale will be closed for the day of September 11, 2008, in memory of those lives lost, and to honor the heroes from that morning and thousands of other mornings when peace was chosen over war. The events of September 11, 2001 touched millions of us both here in the United States of America, and abroad. For each life that was stolen, a memory and a legacy was left behind to carry - and for those who carry them, life has changed forever. Each year, we close our offices today and we encourage others to take this day in remembrance not only of what was lost, but also in celebration of everything that we have in our lives. The families of victims from that morning would give anything to spend one morning with their loved ones, we encourage you to go out and live today to the fullest that you can. Affiliate Marketing can wait until another day.

We will never forget those who lost their lives, or those who gave their lives in the hope of saving another.

Recognizing that there may be urgent situations, although we hope that there are not, we have setup the following.

For urgent needs, Merchants are able to login to their accounts by visiting here: Merchant Login

For urgent needs, Affiliates are able to login to their account here: Affiliate Login

All tracking for transactions will be working as normal today, however, any fees that ShareASale would normally collect will be donated to the International Relief Fund, managed by the Red Cross. Donations to this fund go towards helping the Red Cross assist and aid in tragedies that occur all over the world, and you can add your donation by visiting the Red Cross here.”

I am really glad that they are doing this and I am proud to be a part of an organization with such class! If you would like to be a part of the Shareasale team then please go to the very bottom of my site and on the left side you will find the Shareasale banner. Just click on the banner and you can get signed up.

Do you know of other companies that also do some kind of tribute for 9/11? If so, please let us know. I think they should be praised for their kindness and respect.
