My blog turned 1 year old this month. I did my very first post on November 16, 2007. It’s hard to believe that it’s already been a year!  To be honest, when I first started this blog I had no idea how long I would keep it going. I never had a blog before and I thought it would be something fun to try but I have really enjoyed it a lot more than I ever thought I would. I have learned so much this past year and met some really great people by having this blog.

I would like to say thank you to all of you who have visited my blog and continue to visit. I want to especially thank all of you that take the time to leave comments and to those who advertise on my blog. This blog would be nothing without you!!

I would also like to welcome all new visitors to my blog. My blog is called Life With Roxxymetal and it’s not limited to any certain topic. It’s about my life and what’s important to me. I talk about my family, my pets, making money, saving money, finding good deals, samples, coupons, etc. So if there is ever something you would like me to cover here just let me know. I love feedback from my readers, I think that’s how you really connect with people.

What topics would you like to see more of? Maybe you would like me to list more samples or maybe you are interested in finding more ways to make money? This will give me a better idea of what more people are interested in reading when they come to visit my blog. So any input would be greatly appreciated!! 

I want to take a moment and wish everyone a safe, healthy, and happy Thanksgiving. Do you and your family have any Thanksgiving traditions? My family isn’t real big on Thanksgiving so we just kinda do our own thing. But one thing I like to do is watch the parade and the Dog Show on TV. And this is when I know I can no longer put off my Christmas shopping. Because when Thanksgiving gets here then you know that Christmas is just around the corner.

I’ve been checking out the Black Friday ads and it seems like there are some really good deals this year. I know shopping on Black Friday is a tradition for a lot of people. When I was younger I use to always go shopping on Black Friday but as I’ve gotten older I don’t go as much. I guess all the crowds, waiting in line, having nowhere to park, and the extremely rude people really bother me a lot more than it use to. I do more of my shopping online these days. You can really find some good deals and you don’t even have to leave the comfort of your own home. Do you do more of your holiday shopping online or in the stores? I’m kinda curious…do you think you do more of your shopping online or do you prefer shopping in the stores? 

Have you heard about the Shiba Inu Puppy Cam on Ustream? I can’t get anything done for watching these adorable pups! These puppies are really becoming famous because they seem to be everywhere on TV and the Internet. I guess I’m not the only one addicted to watching them. I’ve been watching them for several weeks now and they have really grown!! I wish I could adopt one of these Shiba’s but I think all 6 are spoken for. There are 3 girls and 3 boys and they are just so sweet!!

Some of you may know that I have a red Shiba Inu named Aspen, he is 4 years old. I will tell you this…they are super smart dogs!! I have owned and been around dogs all my life and the Shiba Inu is by far the most intelligent breed I have ever seen. The Shiba Inu is a Japanese breed and they are not real common here in the United States yet but I’m hoping that will change.

Do any of you own a Shiba Inu or know someone who does? What has been your experience with this breed? Most people I talk to about my Shiba have never heard of the breed before. I would love to hear from other Shiba owners!!
