And men this could be your chance to pick out something really nice for your wife or girlfriend. They make wonderful gifts. Women love Vera Bradley products, I know I’m a huge fan!! Don’t be fooled by those other companies that try to make their bags look like a Vera Bradley bag. They are only cheap imitations and don’t offer the quality product that you get with a Vera Bradley product. I also really love that they offer all kinds of matching accessories.
Yes it is that time again! Time for me to acknowledge my top droppers for the month of February. I know February is a short month but it sure did fly by. I want to thank everyone for visiting my blog and not just my top Entrecard droppers. I appreciate everyone that comes to visit but here are my top droppers:
Dairy Queen is launching their first- ever permanent value menu - DQ Sweet Deals. And what a sweet deal it is!! ”You can mix and match nine menu items, choosing two for $3, three for $4 or four for $5. You have the freedom of choice with more than 20,000 combinations.”
What deal would you make? The deal I would make would be a cheeseburger, french fries, side salad, and a sundae. Sounds like a good deal to me!
Do you like to eat out but wish you could save a little money in the process?! Well now you can but you must hurry if you want to take advantage of this deal because it ends on March 1, 2009. And please note that it is a one offer per party, per visit. Print a B1G1F coupon for TGIFridays. I wish they had more offers like this! This is definitely a sweet deal!!
When I first wrote about the peanut product recall there weren’t that many products on the list but unfortunately that list continues to grow. There are so many products on the list now that it’s almost impossible to keep up with. I have included this widget from the FDA that you can use to check to see if a certain product is on the list. They have it narrowed down in categories to make it easier to sort through.
This is the latest information that is available from the FDA but keep in mind that more products could be added at any time. If you are ever unsure about a product check with the FDA, they have been really good about updating their website. You can also go here to get the full list of recalled products: http://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/peanutbutterrecall/index.cfm
Today Entrecard is holding it’s first ever official Top Dropper Day. I think this is a really good idea in getting more people involved in acknowledging their top droppers. I want to thank each and every one of you for your continued visits to my blog. My top droppers for January are:
One week ago today was the Inauguration of our new President. Barack H. Obama is the 44th President of the United States.
He was elected the 44th President of the United States on November 4, 2008, and sworn in on January 20, 2009. I was glued to the Inauguration coverage all day. I especially enjoyed the more personal coverage of President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama as they attended 10 different Inaugural balls that night. Yes I did say 10…they made an appearance at each ball that night. Both the President and First Lady looked amazing as they took their first dance. They were serenaded by Beyoncé during their first dance at the Neighborhood Ball Tuesday night. She sang the beautiful song by Etta James “At Last”.
I must say, I am very happy that Barack Obama is our new President of The United States of America. I admire him so much and think he has the fresh new ideas that our country needs. I believe that he will bring the change that we so desperately need. I really adore our new First Lady Michelle Obama. They have so much respect for each other and are so much in love. They really do make a stunning couple!!
Here is some very important information on some popular food items. On January 16, 2009 the FDA posted the following press release http://www.fda.gov/oc/po/firmrecalls/kellogg201_09.html. You can go to that link for all the details but I just wanted to post a quick list of the products that are included in the recall.
Products impacted by the recall were produced on or after July 1, 2008, including:
Austin® Quality Foods Cheese Crackers with Peanut Butter - all sizes
Keebler® Toast & Peanut Butter Sandwich Crackers – all sizes
Famous Amos® Peanut Butter Cookies (2- and 3-ounce)
Keebler® Soft Batch Homestyle Peanut Butter Cookies (2.5-ounce)
*The products listed have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. No other products are involved in this recall.*
I don’t know about all of you, but all of these recalls are really starting to scare me. I mean we have food for humans, food for animals, children’s toys, etc that have been affected by recalls. There definitely needs to be a better way of controlling this. When will it end!
